Initial Consultation

Initial Consultation
The initial consultation usually takes longer than subsequent sessions. Please allow about 65 to 70 minutes for the first consultation. Further consultations typically last 60 to 65 minutes. Here you will find our privacy policy, which we kindly ask you to sign and bring to your first appointment. We also request that you fill out the patient form PDF at home and bring it with you to the initial consultation. Please bring all available documents such as medical history, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, blood tests, medication lists, etc., from previous and current treatments. Be sure not to come to your TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) treatment on an empty stomach. During the initial consultation, your overall health will first be assessed. The diagnosis consists of four classical diagnostic methods: questioning, observation, palpation, and listening/smelling. Once sufficient information is gathered, your individualized treatment plan will be chosen.

Tongue Diagnosis
Tongue diagnosis is an important part of TCM. To ensure the tongue’s appearance is not altered, you should avoid consuming coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, chocolate, berries, or other foods and drinks that could stain the tongue for at least an hour before the consultation. You should also refrain from using a tongue scraper for a few days prior to the initial consultation, as the tongue coating provides valuable insights into your health.

Pulse Diagnosis
Pulse diagnosis helps us identify changes in the organs and disharmonies in the energy flow. To prevent any interference with the pulse reading, avoid stress before the treatment.

The Treatment
Depending on the symptoms, various therapeutic methods are applied and combined. The patient usually lies on a treatment table. The needle insertion takes about 5-10 minutes, and the needles typically remain in place for an additional 35-45 minutes.
